Maberly 39-year-old in hospital with life threatening injuries after home invasion

Police in Maberly are investigating a violent home invastion on Maberly Main Street.
OPP say three men wearing disguises forced their way into the home and got into a fight with the resident.
Shots were fired and the suspects fled. Two people took off in an unknown vehicle and the other by foot.
Officers found a 39-year-old man with gunshot wounds at the home. He was taken to Perth and Smiths Falls District hospieal before being airlifted to the Ottawa Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Danny Herbert Gedanitz, 40 was charged with attempted murder, personating a police officer, robbery with a firearm and for use of a firearm during the commission of an indictable offence.
Police are presently looking for two other men describeds as:
– 6’0″
– English speaking
– Wearing dark clothing
