Country 101.1 host Mark Papousek retires after more than 30 years

OTTAWA – The voice of country music radio in Ottawa and the Valley will soon sound very different.
After more than 30 years as a personality on CKBY, Mark Papousek has announced he is retiring. Listeners have been waking up to ‘Mark in the Morning’ each weekday morning for the past 28 years.
Mark recently received the Queen’s Jubilee Medal for his community work, having raised millions for local charities during his time with CKBY.
Mark is also a member of the Ottawa Valley Country Music Hall of Fame.
