Man charged after police find him standing in bushes among women’s underwear

BROCKVILLE — An Ottawa area man is facing charges, after police in Brockville found a man yelling, sounding an air horn, and standing among several pairs of women’s underwear.
Police were called to a pathway between St. Paul Street and Henry Street early on the morning of October 2.
As officers were walking the path, they discovered a man standing in the bushes. It appeared he was just pulling up his pants, and there were several pair of women’s underwear on the ground at his feet.
The man explained the underwear was his.
Officers then learned Ottawa Police had charged the man in August with several offences, which carried the condition that he not be in possession of unlawful substances.
The underwear wasn’t unlawful — but police say the drugs they found when they searched a backpack he was carrying were.
Officers seized mushrooms, heroin, cocaine, marijuana and speed.
The 24-year-old is facing drug charges, as well as breaching the conditions of his release on the charges in Ottawa.
