Ottawa water polo coach charged with sexual assault

An Ottawa man is facing sexual assault-related charges after alleged incidents which happened over several months in 2018.

The Ottawa Police Service says a young woman, who was under the age of 16 at the time, reported sexual assault incidents happening between January and July of 2018. 

During that time, the accused was working as a water polo coach Ottawa. 

He was alone with the patient at the time of the alleged incidents. 

Celso Rojas, 55, of Ottawa is charged with:

  • Sexual Assault
  • Sexual Interference 

He is scheduled to appear in show cause court Wednesday. 

Investigators are concerned that there may be other victims and are asking them to contact police.
