Man charged in Halloween night ByWard Market stabbing

A 33-year-old man has been charged in the death of Austin Simon, who was stabbed Thursday night in the ByWard Market.
Ignace Kayiranga was arrested by Ottawa Police over the weekend.
The man charged will remain in custody until his next court appearance on November 18.
On Halloween, the 39-year-old victim was stabbed near the Shepherds of Good Hope on Murray Street around 10:25 p.m.
Simon died the next day in hospital.
The victim had been working in the capital as a carpenter at the time of his death.
