Charges laid in Nepean commercial robberies targeting lottery tickets

A 37-year-old Ottawa man is facing a number of charges after robberies in Nepean, where police say a bunch of lottery tickets were stolen.

Officers began investigating the robberies in December of last year, and then intercepted a vehicle linked to the incidents at the intersection of Baseline Road and Clyde Avenue on Thursday, January 7.  

The driver was arrested for driving under suspension, and a search linked with the arrest uncovered a large amount of lottery tickets. 

Dominic Concordia has been charged with:

  • Possess a weapon for the purpose of committing an offence (three counts)
  • Disguise with intent (three counts)
  • Robbery (three counts)
  • Possession of stolen property

He was scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
