Ottawa's animal protection organization has launched a lottery that'll help save thousands of animals' lives each year.
People can now participate in the Ottawa Humane Society's (OHS) For the Love of Animals Lottery now through April 14 at 12 p.m.
“Our community is fantastic and always willing to support animals who desperately need their help,” Lori Marcantonio, OHS director of development, says in a news release. “It’s always exciting to provide opportunities for our supporters to help the animals.”
The lottery's grand prize includes a brand new 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio provided by Alfa Romeo Ottawa, valued at more than $81,000.
Those who buy before the early bird deadlines will be entered to win other prizes, including a trip for two to Las Vegas, a nearly $3,000 cash prize and a Bowflex exercise bundle.
Tickets can be purchased for $25 each or in bundles of five for $100 as well as 50 for $250.
“The ongoing COVID-19 crisis is having a profound impact on the Ottawa Humane Society’s services and ability to care for the animals,” says the lottery's website. “Your donations make all the difference for Ottawa’s helpless animals.”
Only people 18 or older who are in Ontario at the time of purchase may buy tickets.
People can purchase tickets on the lottery's website.
