World’s largest hockey show takes place in Ottawa this weekend

The world's largest hockey show is descending on the capital this weekend. 

The EY Centre is the site of the National Capital Hockey Show on Aug. 20 and Aug. 21. 

Thousands of hockey fans are expected to attend the event and see over 40 exhibitors, meet the personalities, participate in the games, the music, hockey history, and loads of hockey fun.

With 40,000 square feet of everything hockey, visit the Hockey Hall of Fame exhibit, including a special one on hockey legends and Canada in 1972, and see Zac Bell the TikTok trick shot hockey star in his two daily shows. Also catch Chad Mathews with a Salute to Stompin’ Tom Connors, the 'Hockey Song' and the Terry Marcott Trio. And on Saturday, Aug. 20 at 2 p.m.,Ottawa Senator Claude Giroux will be live with hockey historian Liam Maguire.

On Sunday, Aug. 21, hockey legends Paul Henderson and Yvan Cournoyer will be live as part of a special salute to the 1972 Summit Series, Canada vs. the USSR, in conversation with Liam Maguire and Gary J. Smith, Canada’s Ambassador to Russia at the time. Hear the stories about what it felt like to score the winning goal and beat the Russians.

Saturday, August 20: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

  • Zac Bell TikTok Trick Shots Shows daily
  • Music Chad Mathews – Salute to the Hockey Song and Stompin’ Tom Connors and Terry Marcott
  • Hockey Artist David Arrigo

“There's going to be non-stop entertainment, booths and activities,” said Maguire, on The Rob Snow Show with guest host Derick Fage on Tuesday, Aug. 16. “And the show is incredibly well priced.”
