Khari Jones joins Redblacks coaching staff

By CityNews Staff

The Ottawa Redblacks have named Khari Jones as their new offensive co-ordinator and assistant head coach, the team announced on Saturday, Dec. 3.

Jones was fired by the Montreal Alouettes after starting the 2022 season 1-3 and later joined the Hamilton Tiger-Cats as a football operations consultant.

In two seasons as head coach in Montreal, Jones had an 18-18 record and back-to-back playoff appearances.

The news comes a day after Bob Dyce was hired as the team's third head coach in franchise history.

The Redblacks finished at the bottom of the CFL's East Division with a 4-14 record. Paul LaPolice was fired on Oct. 1 and Dyce, who was the special teams co-ordinator, finished the season on an interim basis.
