Commercial vehicle inspection blitz results in over 40 charges

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) Traffic Unit, along with the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) and Ottawa By-law and Regulatory Services conducted a commercial vehicle inspection safety blitz on Tuesday, Oct. 31.
Thirty-eight vehicles were stopped, resulting in 44 charges related to “inspection, weight and equipment deficiencies.”
Twelve of the 38 vehicles that were stopped were taken off the roads.
