Driver sent to hospital after single-vehicle crash on highway

The driver of a motor vehicle has been sent to hospital after a crash in Ottawa Wednesday morning.

Ottawa OPP responded to the single-vehicle crash just after 8 a.m. on Dec. 28.

It took place on Highway 417 near Piperville Road, according to police.

The driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

CityNews is unaware of what caused the crash.

Police say an investigation is ongoing.
