OPP charge 87-year-old woman after she crashes into building

Police charged an 87-year-old woman with careless driving after they said her vehicle hit a parked car and then crashed into a building on Tuesday in a town southwest of Ottawa.
The Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said they were called to Dundas Street East in Napanee around 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Police said emergency crews were already on scene when they arrived.
OPP said the driver was backing into a parking spot and accidently hit the gas instead of the brakes, causing her car to hit a parked vehicle and then crash into a building.
The unnamed 87-year-old woman from Odessa was charged with careless driving.
No injuries have been reported.
Dundas Street east was closed between John Street and Centre Street while emergency crews worked to clear the scene.
The road was opened back up a short time later once emergency crews cleared the scene.
