16-year-old charged for stunt driving on Hwy. 174 in construction zone

“Not the best way to wrap-up the long weekend,” police said in an Oct. 14 post on X.

According to officers, a 16-year-old, with a G2 licence, was caught stunt driving on Highway 174 in Ottawa’s east end. The portion of the highway has reduced speeds due to construction work.

The young driver was going 145 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.

Stunt driving results in a 30-day licence suspension, a 14-day vehicle impound and a date in court.
