OPP officer charged with assault following incident in the force’s parking lot
An officer with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) for nine years has been charged with assault following an interaction in July.
The officer, from the Hawkesbury detachment, was on duty July 1 around 2:00 a.m. when a vehicle was observed driving through the staff parking lot of the force’s office in a “suspicious manner.”
Officers responded as two people exited the vehicle. During the interaction the two people suffered injuries requiring medical treatment.

Following the incident, the OPP Professional Standards Unit launched an investigation into the circumstances. The two officers were suspended with pay.
Now, police have charged Provincial Constable Alexandre Bolduc of the Hawkesbury detachment with two counts of assault.
He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal at a later date.
The investigation is ongoing.
