Tow driver charged for operation without proper license

A Quebec tow truck operator has been charged after operating without the proper licence.

The truck was stopped on Hwy 416 Saturday evening when a member of the OPP Time Team noticed the Quebec tow company was operating in Ontario without an Ontario Tow Licence.

The tow operator is facing a $365 fine under the Towing and Storage Safety Enforcement Act.

The tow truck was also impounded for seven days.
