By Josh Piercey

A fan favourite goaltender from Kitchener, Ont., is taking his talents to the nation’s capital.

Former Ontario Hockey League Kitchener Rangers goaltender Jackson Parsons has signed an entry-level contract with the Ottawa Senators after an incredible season.

The 20-year-old racked up 37 regular-season wins with the Rangers last season and was named the CHL Goaltender of the Year, the OHL Goaltender of the Year, and the OHL Overage Player of the Year.

Parsons is from Embrun, Ont., just outside of Ottawa, and will look to try and make it to the big leagues with his hometown club.

He joins former teammate and Rangers captain Matthew Andonovski on the Senators’ depth chart.

Parsons is committed to playing in the NCAA with Clarkson University this fall.
