Coors Light fake record label gives fans opportunity to experience OSHEAGA like a rockstar

If you’ve always wondered what it would be like to be a rockstar but just don’t have the talent, OSHEAGA could be your big break.

Coors Light has launched the fake Coors Light Records to give one lucky winner the opportunity to have a full rockstar experience at one of Canada’s largest music festivals.

The beer company has been partnered with OSHEAGA since 2007 but is not allowed to partner with artists and celebrities in Canada. As a creative workaround, Coors Light decided to give one lucky winner the opportunity to experience their own rockstar fantasy.

“We launched Chill on Shuffle, our new music platform designed to shake up how fans experience live music,” Michelle Sowinski, Marketing Director of Global Brands at Molson Coors, told CityNews. “The idea is simple: what’s more chill than helping fans live out their dream of being an artist, even if they don’t have the talent?”

The fans selected to sign with the record label -will receive a wealth of perks including:

  • Exclusive access at OSHEAGA including daily side stage access, a backstage tour and seriously chill perks with a Defender Platinum ticket;
  • An exclusive meet-and-greet with Shaboozey;
  • OSHEAGA afterparty access;
  • Celebrity-level treatment like first class travel an accommodations;
  • A photoshoot on-site with professional hair and makeup;
  • A visit to OSHEAGA Artist World, the backstage hangout for headliners and performers; and
  • A personal rider kit with tons of Coors Light swag.

Those selected can also bring a friend — referred to as their manager.

“This is the most premium music experience we’ve ever created for our fans,” Sowinski said. “We worked closely with the OSHEAGA team to design something that feels similar to what a real artist may experience. It’s a bold, unexpected way to connect with music lovers.”

While Sowinski couldn’t give exact numbers, she said interest in the competition has been high. Those looking to take advantage of the opportunity for celebrity treatment can enter online until June 23 at 5 p.m. EST.

“It’s been really fun watching the buzz grow,” Sowinski said, “and we’re looking forward to making one lucky fan’s (and a friend!) OSHEAGA weekend unforgettable.”
