OPP investigate serious crash in Morrisburg

OPP are investigating a serious collision that occurred on Highway 401 eastbound in Morrisburg, approximately 80 kilometres south of Ottawa.

Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry OPP say it happened on Aug. 15 at approximately 10:20 a.m. west of the County Road 31 off ramp.

The crash involved three commercial motor vehicles, Police, as well as fire and paramedics responded to the collision. Two occupants suffered serious injuries and one was transported to an Ottawa area trauma centre by Air ORNGE.

Traffic was slowed in the area due to the highway closure east of Morrisburg.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers.
