Police charge four suspects after $130,000 worth of trailers, vehicles found

Four young adults are facing numerous charges in connection with multiple thefts of camping trailers, vehicles and more items.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) from the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry detachment said they began an investigation into the stolen items in early August. It was reported at the time that some tools and items were going missing from a construction site in Winchester, including a large generator, power tools and plumbing fixtures.

As a result, police executed a search warrant at a property on County Road 3 west of Chesterville, Ont. From there, officers learned that most of the stolen items had been removed from that location. Around this time, police received a tip that stolen trailers had been seen at a location on Otto Road in South Stormont Township.

Meeting multiple other units, including the canine team, police confirmed the stolen trailers and two people were arrested at the scene. Other people had ran away when police arrived but were found a little while later.

As a result of the investigation, Nicole Denneny, 21 of South Dundas Township, has been charged with:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 – three counts
  • Trafficking in stolen goods
  • Flight from a police officer
  • Obstruct police
  • Mischief over $5000
  • Failing to comply with an undertaking – two counts

Brendan Charbonneau, 24 of Ottawa, has been charged with:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 – three counts
  • Theft over $5000 – two counts
  • Theft of a vehicle
  • Theft under $5000
  • Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code

Both accused will remain in custody and are scheduled at the Cornwall court.

Tyler Gour, 21 of Winchester, has been charged with three counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5000. He was released from custody and is scheduled to face the charges in court in September.

Coby Van Bridger, 20 of Inkerman, faces two counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5000. He was released and is set to appear in court in September.
