Police seek witness to fatal collision

The Ottawa Police Service is seeking witnesses to a collision that left the driver of one vehicle dead.

Officers responded to the 2600 block of River Road shortly after 1 p.m. on Oct. 30, after receiving a report of a two-vehicle collision.

The drivers of both vehicles were taken to hospital. One driver was pronounced deceased in hospital. The other driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The OPS Fatal Collision Investigations Unit is now looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who has dashcam footage.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 613-236-1222, extension 2345. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers.
