Police are hoping more members of the public can help them piece together what led to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 417.
On Monday morning, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to the eastbound lanes of the highway near Anderson Road in the southeast corner of the municipality at around 10:00 a.m. When they arrived, they found a white vehicle on its side in the ditch.
Witnesses told police that they saw the white vehicle cut off by another, which caused it to roll into the ditch. The other vehicle did not remain at the scene. The driver of the ditch-bound vehicle did not sustain serious injuries, the press release notes.
Officers are hoping people can come forward if they have dashcam footage of the collision.
This crash comes after OPP posted a warning of a flash freeze overnight Sunday into Monday.
“Roads and other surfaces could be slippery as a result of the temperatures dropping overnight. Drive and walk with care,” it reads.
