Police looking for witnesses after hit-and-run crash on Bank Street

Officials are asking people to come forward if they saw a collision between two vehicles on the morning of Dec. 9 after a vehicle was seen speeding and weaving in the Heron Park community.

Police said that around 7:47 a.m. on Tuesday, a grey SUV was reportedly travelling northbound on Bank Street at a high rate of speed, cutting off other vehicles. At one point, the vehicle was attempting to merge into traffic when it struck a black pickup truck.

The press release details that both vehicles stopped near the intersection of Bank Street and Collins Avenue, but the SUV then left the scene.

Police are hoping anyone who witnessed the crash or who has dashcam footage can come forward.
