Three people have been arrested following a slew of recent police impersonation frauds.
On Thursday, provincial police in Clarence-Rockland received a report from a resident that stated they received a call earlier in the day from an individual identifying himself as a police officer.
Police say the suspect advised the victim that their bank cards had been compromised and that someone would be attending the residence to retrieve them for security purposes.
A short time later, a female attended the victim’s residence and collected the cards.
The victim then discovered her cards had been used to withdraw money at numerous locations.
OPP officers in Clarence-Rockland received information regarding a woman who matched the description of the suspect, using credit cards at local banks. Officers located the suspect with two males, and all three were placed under arrest.
All three suspects have been held for bail while the investigation continues.
