Man remains in critical condition after ByWard Market stabbing

There are no suspects identified after police responded to reports of a stabbing in the ByWard Market over the weekend.

In an update, officers said they were called around 11:00 p.m. to the downtown core for a man injured in the area near George and William streets. When they arrived, the victim was suffering from what police described as a stab wound.

He was taken to hospital in critical condition, where he remains, the press release reads April 13.

Officials say they have not identified any suspects in connection with the case, and no one has been arrested. The investigation is ongoing, and they are asking anyone with information to contact them.

Police are looking for video footage from the area at the time of the incident, and any tips that could help officers in the case.
