Suspect on the run after ‘targeted shooting’ that sent man to hospital

One man was injured after an early morning shooting in Vanier South on Wednesday.

Police are now detailing that they received multiple reports for gunshots around 1:30 a.m. Officers went to a home on Belisle Street, where they found one man with injuries.

He was sent to hospital in non-life-threatening conditions.

Officials say that no one is in custody. They also note that they believe the shooting was targeted.

Police are looking for anyone with more information to contact them.
