Man dies after fatal crash near Chesterville

A man is dead following a collision on County Road 7 near Crump Road on August 28, police say.
The Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry (SD&G) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to initial reports of a crash at around 3:50 p.m. Initial findings show that a motorcycle collided into the rear of a trailer being towed by a pickup truck.
The 37-year-old driver of the motorcycle, a man from Winchester, was then airlifted to an Ottawa trauma centre where he was later pronounced dead. No other injuries were reported.
North Dundas Fire Services, Cornwall SDG Paramedic Services, and an OPP Technical Collision Investigator and Reconstructionist assisted with the collision.
County Road 7 was closed between County Road 3 and Boyne Road for several hours and has since reopened.
