Police searching for suspects following a stabbing

Police are asking for assistance in identifying a group of about 16 men involved in a stabbing earlier in August in the Downtown Rideau Area..
On August 4, 2026, at approximately 9:45 p.m., a man was brought to hospital in critical condition. Police were notified and located the scene of the incident near the intersection of Daly Avenue and Nicholas Street.
Investigators are seeking to identify a group of approximately 16 men who were involved in the incident.
Police are asking anyone with information regarding the identity of these individuals, or who may have witnessed the incident, to call the Central Criminal Investigations Section at 613-236-1222, extension 5166.
