Pair facing assault charges after two people were stabbed during dispute

Police laid charges against two women in connection with a stabbing incident that sent two people to hospital in Cumberland.

Officers were called for a disturbance at a home on Peter Harkness Lane in the east end community on Aug. 28. When they arrived, police found two people with non-life-threatening stab wounds that they say happened during an argument.

As a result, Jazmine Justin Gauthier, 45, is facing many offences including:

  • Aggravated assault
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Possession of a weapon
  • Carry concealed weapon

Grace Croft, 22, is facing an assault causing bodily harm charge and two other counts of assault.
