CHEO lottery offering $5.3 million in prizes including Kanata ‘dream’ home

The 2027 CHEO Dream of a Lifetime Lottery is underway, with the annual fundraiser featuring the largest retail value in its history, according to the foundation.

Over $5.3 million in prizes can be won, which includes luxurious vacations, new vehicles and the top trophy, the coveted dream home by Minto.

“Every ticket purchased in the Dream of a Lifetime Lottery means more support for the increasing numbers and complexity of pediatric health issues of kids these days,” said Steve Read, President and CEO, CHEO Foundation. “We are grateful for the generosity of our partners that have created this year’s Dream of a Lifetime Lottery prize line-up, ultimately helping us support the changing health issues that children, youth and families are facing.”

The grand prize package alone is valued over $3.6 million. The dream home is being called “The Beaumont” and emulates a “modern Parisian residence” with multigenerational and accessible living in mind.

The 5,340 square-foot house in Kanata’s South March community has an elevator inside allowing people to get to all three floors without stairs.

“From the moment you walk in, you’re met with soaring ceilings, refined finishes, and spaces designed to impress. Every detail has been carefully considered — from the lacquered woods and fluted glass to the polished metals and vibrant modern art that fills each room,” the description on the CHEO Foundation’s website reads.

Among the “soaring” ceilings, chandeliers and custom staircase, is views of a pond, a king-sized bed and a 1920s inspired speakeasy in the basement along with a theatre room and fitness centre.
