Adopt Me: Maggie has lots of energy (adopted)

She has some dental issues that will need to be monitored by a veterinarian

OttawaMatters, in partnership with the Ottawa Humane Society, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Meet Maggie (ID# A227820), a one-and-a-half-year-old cat who has been waiting almost a year to find her forever home!

Maggie is a high-energy, happy cat who enjoys playing, sleeping and getting attention from her favourite people.

Her canine (fang) tooth is broken at the very tip. The tooth otherwise appears normal, but she will need to have it monitored regularly by a veterinarian and they may recommend extraction or root canal of the tooth in the future.

She also has excessive inflammation of my gums, possibly due to feline chronic gingivostomatitis (FCGS). It is possible I will require ongoing veterinary dental care under anesthesia to manage my condition.

With the Shirley Kearns Memorial Adoption Centre currently closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak, adoptions are currently done on an appointment basis. If you are interested in adopting me, please call the OHS to book an appointment at 613-725-3166 ext. 258.

Items you must have with you: proof of address, photo ID, animal carrier.

Unable to adopt? Share this feature on social media so each animal can get the exposure it needs and find a loving home.
