CityNewsOttawa, in partnership with the Ottawa Humane Society, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Gumbo (ID# A235850), is a two-year-old cat on the hunt for his forever home.

Gumbo is a shy cat who is easily frightened by new people and situations. He is looking for a family who are able to give him the time and space he needs to feel safe.

With time and patience, he will come out of his shell and show his wonderful personality!

He is a “Foster-Me-First” adoption. You can find more information about the Foster-Me-First Program at or call to speak to the adoption team.
