Adopt Me: Layla can be very shy at first (adopted)

She is looking for a home with no children

OttawaMatters, in partnership with the Ottawa Humane Society, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Meet Layla (ID# A233366), a two-year-old tabby cat who can’t wait to find her forever home!

Layla is a shy cat who often feels frightened by new people at first, but quickly warms up once she feels safe.

To help her adjust, she will need a safe space in the home to call her own.

She is also looking for a home without children.

For more information about Layla please visit

With the Shirley Kearns Memorial Adoption Centre currently closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak, adoptions are currently done on an appointment basis. If you are interested in adopting me, please call the OHS to book an appointment at 613-725-3166 ext. 258.

Items you must have with you: proof of address, photo ID, animal carrier.

Unable to adopt? Share this feature on social media so each animal can get the exposure it needs and find a loving home.
