CityNewsOttawa, in partnership with the Ottawa Humane Society, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Ruby
Ruby (ID# A232676), is a five-year-old tabby cat looking to find her purrfect forever home.
This one-eyed beauty is a little shy at first, but after she’s settled in, it will feel like she has always belonged!
"I had eye infections that were likely related to a “cat cold virus”. I may have flare ups if I become stressed, which could require veterinarian visits and treatment. I may also be contagious to other cats at certain times."
Ruby is a "foster-me-first” adoption. You can find more information about the Foster-Me-First Program at https://ottawahumane.ca/adopt/adoption-faq/#answer13 or call to speak to the adoption team.

With the Shirley Kearns Memorial Adoption Centre currently closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak, adoptions are currently done on an appointment basis. If you are interested in adopting me, please call the OHS to book an appointment at 613-725-3166 ext. 258.
Items you must have with you: proof of address, photo ID, animal carrier.
