Adopt Me: Skunk is a little shy

He had some issues with his fur coat, but is doing much better now

CityNewsOttawa, in partnership with the Ottawa Humane Society, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Skunk (ID# A235857), is a seven-year-old cat looking for his forever home.

He can be shy at first, but he doesn’t take long to warm up, and once he does, he’ll never want to leave your side!

Skunk had a thin, short, patchy coat while at the shelter. This could be from a variety of reasons, from a food allergy to skin condition or illness-but we don’t know for sure.

He is currently doing well and his coat is growing in. It may continue to improve or he may need further diagnostics, treatment, or other care from a veterinarian.

Adoptions are currently being done by appointment, with a curbside option available. If you are interested in adopting me, please email the OHS a completed adopter profile found at

Items you must have with you: proof of address, photo ID, animal carrier and collar.

Unable to adopt? Share this feature on social media so each animal can get the exposure it needs and find a loving home.
