Adopt Me: Suzie can be shy at times (adopted)

She would do best in a mature, calm household

OttawaMatters, in partnership with the Ottawa Humane Society, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Meet Suzie (ID# A228242), a gray lionhead mix looking for her forever family.

"Hello! My name is Suzie and I’m a shy and timid friend looking for a patient owner. I may be best suited to a mature home as I’m selective when being handled, prefer not to be picked up and like a slow approach.

I would benefit from a daily diet that comprises of variety of fruits and vegetables such as lettuce, carrots and cucumbers along with my essentials."

For more information on Suzie, please visit

With the Shirley Kearns Memorial Adoption Centre currently closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak, adoptions are currently done on an appointment basis. If you are interested in adopting me, please call the OHS to book an appointment at 613-725-3166 ext. 258.

Items you must have with you: proof of address, photo ID, animal carrier
