By CityNews Ottawa

Hour 1:

Wednesday. It has now been six months since Russia invaded Ukraine, as the war torn country celebrates its independence day under threat of attack.

11:56:  “It's quite an emotional day…it's hard to imagine 6 months ago where we would be today. But I'm glad we see the bravery of Ukrainian armed forces, men and women who are fighting every single day pushing back, fighting for their freedom and democracy.”

Cassian Soltykevich from the Ukrainian Canadian Congress joins the show to share his perspective on how the Ukrainian community both in Ottawa and abroad are feeling on their independence day while the war continues.

21:18: “The individual in question quite literally put out a video mocking the media for doing exactly what he had hoped as a result of this stunt. The media has actually given him what he wants here, which is a platform.”

This is the place to score your Political Fix! Strategists Ashton Arsenault and Karl Belanger join Rob to break down the top political stories of the day.
