Wednesday. Day 15 of the Ontario election campaign. The April inflation report is out this morning, and it's a doozy.
11:51 - "I'm quite worried that workers are going to start demanding much higher wages. if that happens then inflation really starts to become entrenched, we get into what's called a wage and price spiral."
Rob is joined by Philip Cross, former chief economic analyst for Statistics Canada for his reaction to this morning's record consumer price index report.
21:00 - "It's not too late for the opposition to turn this thing around, but it's going to be difficult for the Liberals because their vote doesn't appear to be efficient at all at this point and they're starting with 7 seats, so what's the path to power? I don't see one."
