Murder charge laid in death of Toronto toddler

TORONTO — A man faces a second-degree murder charge in the death of a Toronto toddler.
The two-year-old girl died suddenly in a west-end hospital on Friday.
Police say she had been brought in with injuries and was in medical distress, and died soon after.
An autopsy shows blunt trauma killed her.
Police say the 28-year-old suspect was arrested on Monday.
The accused was scheduled for a first court appearance today.
