City of Ottawa employee tests positive for COVID-19 after working at Nepean Sportsplex

Another City of Ottawa employee is in self-isolation after testing positive for COVID-19.

The employee last worked at the Nepean Sportsplex on Wednesday, September 8, and was asymptomatic at the time.

After starting to feel unwell, the employee got tested on September 12 and received a positive result on September 13.

On Monday, September 13, the city said an employee tested positive after working at the Ray Friel Recreation Complex.

The city says its Recreation, Cultural and Facility Services department continues to follow enhanced daily cleaning protocols at each of its facilities. 

If customers have concerns of exposure, they can contact Ottawa Public Health at 613-580-6744 to speak to a public health nurse or visit ottawapublichealth.ca.
