More Ottawa COVID-19 vaccine appointments added to provincial booking system

By Mike Vlasveld

The City of Ottawa says more COVID-19 vaccine appointments are now available through the provincial booking system.

It's expecting to receive about 5,000 more doses, Friday, June 11.

The appointments are available for anyone 12 and older who still needs a first, or is eligible for a second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The city says the appointment times are set between Saturday, June 12, and Monday, June 14, at the Infinity Centre.

Residents can visit ontario.ca/bookvaccine to access the provincial booking system or call the provincial vaccine booking line at 1-833-943-3900 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., seven days a week.

Residents may also be able to book a vaccine appointment at a local pharmacy. Most pharmacies book appointments ahead of time and some allow walk-ins. Eligible residents are encouraged to check with pharmacies directly. Select primary care teams are also offering vaccines.
