Heather Megill is a teacher with the Upper Canada District School Board and a Vice President with the Upper Canada Teacher Local of the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario. She is a retired Captain in the Canadian Armed Forces Reserve and former member of the Stormont Dundas and Glengarry Highlanders.
Heather has taught in elementary education since 1996 as both a Classroom teacher and English as Second Language teacher throughout the United Counties of SD and G.
Heather is committed to improving the lives of citizens through raising the minimum wage, investing in free preschool child care, and providing free prescription medication for children and youth and soon for seniors. As someone who put herself through teachers’ college as an adult, she knows firsthand how life-changing policies like free tuition can be.
Heather lives in Cornwall and is the mother of Bruce and Rose Megill.
