Nicholas Lapierre is running for the Green Party of Ontario to provide a choice for the people of Orleans.  Being a proud voter, he wants to encourage political discussions and engagement. With the strong sense of community support that Nicholas shares with the Green Party of Ontario vision “to build on the work people like you are already doing in your community, working to make positive change, overcoming social barriers and improving the health of each other and our planet.”

Having spent five years working with the Tim Horton Children’s Foundation, Nicholas completed his studies at Algonquin College in Culinary Management.  While there he lead study groups and fell in love with the college and how it helps people transform hopes and dreams into lifelong success.  Since that time he has spent twelve years working there in various roles. Currently, he helps students bridge the gap of financial challenges to academic achievement.

Outside of his professional work, Nicholas also volunteers with Scouts Canada for his son’s Beaver colony.  Being able to participate in supporting today’s youth through a lens that values the environment is important to Nicholas.  He also has been a member of Toastmaster for several years providing an opportunity to hone both his communication and leaderships that he will use to support the constituency of Orleans at Queen’s Park

Nicholas has proudly supported the Green Party for years and is excited to talk with people about their thoughts on the current Green Party platform, especially when it comes to our craft brewers.  Being a beer lover and an aspiring small business owner, supporting local small business are of great interest.  This is made all the more important as it ties in with how we can support people and still protect the environment.
