Algonquin College appears third on a list of Canada's top 50 research colleges for 2022.
The list was released by Research Infosource Incorporated on Thursday, Jan. 25.
According to the list, Algonquin College ranks third in the category of research partnerships with 168, and second in completed research projects with 155.
"We are thrilled to see Algonquin College recognized as a leader in research partnerships amongst colleges in Canada," said Claude Brulé, Algonquin College's president and chief executive officer (CEO). "Our commitment to applied research and innovation, as well as working closely with industry partners and community organizations, has resulted in this outstanding achievement."
In addition to the research partnership results, Algonquin College ranked second in Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) research income with $662,000 and ninth in Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) research income with $2,528,000.
