Almonte house fire leaves one person, two dogs dead

The victim has yet to be identified and the investigation is ongoing.

A house fire in Mississippi Mills has left one person and two dogs dead. 

Around 9:15 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, members of the Lanark Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a home in Almonte to assist firefighters on scene. 

The house was fully engulfed in flames and police say the damage is extensive. 

The victim has yet to be identified and the incident is currently under investigation.
