Gatineau police are investigating a fourth suspicious overnight fire in Hull, about a kilometre from a police command post set up in response to the fires.

A home on rue Frontenac in Hull caught fire just after midnight, Thursday. Firefighters battled the blaze for more than three hours before getting it under control.

Damage is estimated at $100,000. Fortunately, no one was hurt.

This is the fourth suspicious fire in Hull since Friday. Three others were set in three nights, this past weekend.

Gatineau police tell 1310 NEWS that while this latest fire is also suspicious, they aren't yet sure if it is connected to the first three. A police investigator was expected to go over the fire scene, Thursday.

Gatineau police have set up a command post, on boulevard Sacré-Coeur, to collect tips from the public about the fires. Officers will be back at the command post, Thursday.
