April showers: wet weather forecast for nation’s capital

The spring weather continues for the nation's capital. 

Periods of rain are forecast through the day Wednesday, and it won't be as warm as it has been to start the week, with a high around 12 degrees. 

The rain is expected to continue into the overnight before tapering to showers Thursday afternoon.
