In an earlier tweet from OPS, officers said the bear seemed to be injured and as a result, they had to wait on officials from Ontario's Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry.
Earl Mulligan Drive, between Woodroffe Avenue and Woodgate Way, had to be closed to keep the area safe and limit disturbance to the bear. All roads have since reopened.
The National Capital Commission says the bear was relocated to the White Lake region in good health.
