The Kildeer Bluesfest bird has been immortalized by a local artist.

Over breakfast, Andrew King sketched the famous bird that made international news.

King and Safe Wings Ottawa teamed up to auction off the 4x6 ink sketch.

100% of the proceeds will be donated to Safe Wings Ottawa.

The bird and it's nest had to be moved around 25 metres, as it was blocking the main stage area.

Ontario's Environment Minister's Office granted a permit under the Federal Migratory Birds Convention Act, to move the nest to a suitable and safe place.

The nest was then moved one metre every 20 minutes to ensure the mother would come back to it.

Kildeer eggs typically take between 24 and 26 days to hatch.

As of 10:00 a.m., the auction reached $100 (CAD).
