Youth and kids across Ottawa will be able to continue to enjoy free programming offered by BGC Ottawa thanks to the funds raised through the annual Glamping Gala.

This year’s gala, a stand-up, cocktail-style event, was held on Friday, June 10 under the stars on the BGC Ottawa’s Great Lawn, adjacent to the Rideau Canoe Club.

This year, the event raised money for Camp Smitty and summer day camps across the city.

“Everyone is welcome,” Jonelle Istead, Chief Advancement Officer, BGC Ottawa said. “Young people get to go regardless of their financial circumstances. We serve hundreds of children and youth through this camp each summer, and thousands more at our day camps across Ottawa.”

Organizers say the gala will return in 2023.
