Canada Day celebrations return to different communities

By CityNews Ottawa

For the first time since 2019, Canada Day celebrations return to Petrie Island.

Innes Coun. Laura Dudas told The Sam Laprade Show on Thursday, June 30 that there are plenty of activities for all ages for the east end Canada Day celebrations including live entertainment, music, food and an opportunity to swim in Petrie Island.

“I know a lot of people are eager to go downtown,” she said. “What we have going on is absolutely spectacular.”
